How does the ordering process work?

Shopping with us is very straightforward:

  1. Search for the desired title or artist using the search bar.
  2. In the song list, click on the small "Buy" checkmark next to the title to add it to the shopping cart.
  3. Click on the Cart at the top. There you can adjust the desired formats and proceed to checkout.
  4. You can order as a guest (e.g. via "PayPal Direct") or create a customer account for further payment methods. The songs are usually available for download immediately after purchase.

Can I pay by invoice or direct debit?

Yes, as a registered customer, we also offer you payment by direct debit. To do this, create a customer account with your bank details under Login/Register. We will then conveniently collect outstanding amounts. After registration, you will receive your access data by e-mail, and all future downloads will be available to you immediately after logging in.

Do I have to register to pay with PayPal?

No. Simply select PayPal Direct in the shopping cart. You will securely be redirected to PayPal, pay as a guest, and then receive the download link directly (and additionally an email with a backup link in case the direct download was interrupted).

What is the difference between Standard and Premium songs?

Premium songs offer additional optimizations, specially adapted formats (e.g. for Yamaha Tyros/Genos) and often contain high-quality texts (lyrics) as well as chords. A detailed breakdown of the formats can be found on our Format Info Page.

What do the letters in the order number mean?

These abbreviations identify our programmers and partner studios. For example, PR and CL stand for in-house productions, ML for Midiland. If a song is available multiple times, you can distinguish between the different versions – simply listen to the respective demos to find your favorite.

Do volume discounts also apply to subsequent orders?

Yes! Our system automatically remembers purchases made in the last 6 weeks for registered customers. If you bought 20 titles last week and order a single song today, you will automatically receive this single song at the discounted unit price of the 20-tier.

Ordered twice = charged twice?

Don't worry. Our shop system detects accidental duplicate orders of the same title within a very short time and automatically filters them out. You will not pay twice if you accidentally clicked "Buy" twice.

Why do the midis not sound good on my PC?

Midi files contain no actual audio, but are merely digital "sheet music". The sound generation is done by the playback device. The standard sound cards of normal PCs are usually completely unsuitable for this and sound tinny. To experience the full, professional sound of the files, load them into your keyboard (e.g. via USB stick) or use a high-quality sound module. Alternatively, we also offer our titles as ready-mixed MP3 Playbacks.

Where can I find demo versions of the songs?

In the search results list you will find a "Demo" column. Simply click on "MID" (for a midi demo) or "MP3" (for an audio demo) to listen to the song and convince yourself of the quality.

Tips for the search function (Finding songs)

Our intelligent search often also finds typos (phonetic search) or word parts. If you still cannot find a specific title, try alternative spellings. When in doubt, limit the search to the most striking word of the title instead of typing the whole sentence.

Problems registering a customer account?

Please pay attention to the following formats so that the system accepts your data immediately:

  • Please connect streets with multiple words with a hyphen (e.g. Down-the-street).
  • Please enter the IBAN / account number completely without spaces.
  • Choose a username without special characters and without umlauts.

The shopping cart is not working?

Please ensure that your browser accepts cookies for www.midi.de, otherwise the system cannot remember which songs you have placed in the cart. Sometimes very restrictively set ad blockers also block the forwarding to the shopping cart. If necessary, pause it briefly for our shop.

How do I get my invoice?

For PayPal payments, you will receive a link to your receipt directly. If you have a permanent customer account with us, you can log in at any time and retrieve the detailed invoices (with VAT shown) of the past months under Your Account for your records and the tax office.

How safe is my data?
